Features:
Among the possibilities of a thermal dehydration the belt dryer excels by a careful and continuous dehydration of a variety of products. The different designs of the belt drier palette at ABS enable you to co-ordinate almost all physical parameters to the product to be dried. Drying temperature, processing time of the product as well as air velocity and direction of air are selected for each product by professional application.
Operating Process Hot Air Belt Dryer:
The belt dryer is a continuous convection dryer. The product to be dried is conveyed through the dryer case on a steel belt which can be aerated and is being treated with hot air during that time. A product layer that can well be aerated is precondition for this purpose. To obtain a homogenous product quality it is of essential importance how the product is being charged. Therefore the use of a charging system adjusted to the product is required.
Single Belt Dryer
The advantages of ABS’s single belt dryer are that almost all 
physical parameters can exactlybe co-ordinate with the products to be dried. Drying temperature, processing time of the product as well as air velocity and direction of air are selected for each product by ABS’s professional application and are being applied to each dryer. This is possible by separating the single belt dryer into various drying chambers. These can be separated into single regulating zones with various processing parameters.
The single-phase dryer will be used for goods that cannot be moved during the dehydration process. If several one-belt dryers are arranged in a line, you can speak of a multi-stage single belt dryer. It combines the advantages of a single belt dryer with those of a multibelt drier. With such a dryer combination there are various possibilities of adjustment to the drying process of the different product range as against the multibelt dryer.
Multibelt Dryer
The advantages of ABS’s multibelt dryer are its huge drying surface compared to the Single Belt Dryer. Especially in the field of food processing the corresponding processing times can be realised with low drying temperatures and charging heights.
Belt width: 1000, 1500, 2000, 3000mm 
Dryer belt surface up to 600 m2
Both the product as well as the drying process can require a loosening of the product layer. This can be achieved by recharging the product. In case of multiphase combinations of one-belt dryers respectively multi-belt dryers the recharge is achieved when the product is transferred from belt to belt. Product clumps containing humidity can be dissolved during this process leading to an improvement of the product quality.
Belt Blanching Device
Belt blanching devices are being used for processing whole or cut products. The product is for example charged onto the transport belt of the blanching device via a vibrating chute. With an appropriate lock system the evaporation of hot steam can be prevented. By means of steam or hot water the product is being boiled according to the infinitely variable processing time. Depending on the further use a cooling zone can be connected to the blanching device. The product is transported via a delivery belt. ABS – belt blanching devices are being designed according to the specific requirements.
Conveying Engineering
The connecting link between the single processing steps is 
the appropriate conveying device. Conveyor belts in all possible designs, for the individually demanded application, are being designed and built by us. Especially in food industry but also in chemical industries ABS conveyor belts in refined steel design are being used. |
